Social Media - Who goes online?

Who goes online? Our work life and life as a healthcare manager of people under 30 will be an endless challenge in the age of internet, cloud based apps and mobile devices.  Managing and striking a balance between productivity, priorities and social networking will be an ongoing issue.  Their use and enthusiasm for new gadgets and free apps will affect all work environments and require new management policies.

A recent Pew Internet Project report reveals that 93% of teens ages 12‐17 go online, as do 93% of young adults ages 18‐29. Three quarters (74%) of all adults ages 18 and older go online.

Survey results also show that among adults 18 and older, Facebook has taken over as the social network of choice; 73% of adult profile owners use Facebook, 48% have a profile on MySpace and 14% use LinkedIn.
